The character in this project is loosely based on the 'Baseball Furies' gang from the 1979 movie 'The Warriors' (based on the 1965 Sol Yurick book of the same name).
'Flash sheet' of the tattoos created for the illustration. I thought it would lend the illustration an extra layer of depth to have the tattoos designed as 'real' tattoos, even though you may not see the full image on the illustration itself. Based on the 'Neo-Traditional' tattoo style, these are all designed in relation to baseball, New York, quotes from the movie and song lyrics from the movie's soundtrack.
